Plex Bracelets and Necklace

Inspired by Plex's robotic good looks, this jewelry is made with a combination of nuts and bolts from the tool chest, and a few big beads.

What You Need
Clear, stretchy beading cord
Wing nuts, washers, short springs, and other small hardware
Wooden and metal beads in yellow, black, red, and silver

What You Do

Step 1
Cut a length of cord suited to your child's wrist size, making sure there is enough to use to tie a triple-knot at the end.

Step 2
Tie on the first bead, then add hardware and beads. Let kids mix and match. For best results, help kids create a pattern or rhythm.

Caution: Use hardware that isn't sharp and isn't too heavy.

Step 3
Tie the bracelet or necklace closed. Since it's stretchy, it can be taken off and put on without untying it.
